THE GILDED AGE (Season 1)

A 9 episode historical drama series created by Julian Fellowes for HBO, The Gilded Age is an upstairs/downstairs story exploring the conflicts between 'old money' and 'new money' families in 1880s New York. Beautifully detailed stage sets were combined with a large purpose-built backlot in NY and additional shooting in Newport, RI and Troy, NY where several blocks of storefronts were dressed as the center of 1880s New York City .
